Nesting Material

Nesting material gourd holders are constructed from a warty gourd and stuffed with horse hair and wool..favorite construction needs of birds. The gourd is stained to make it easier for the birds to see. As the birds pull out hair the gourd will seem to grow tufts. You may see the bird make repeated laps to and from the chosen site. Twice we have observed a bird drop the hair...but, then, fly down to the ground and find it and use it...then return to the gourd of nesting material.
